2009 offered an opportunity to reach several goals: to
complete a cross country ride through the South--once again from the Pacific
to Atlantic coasts. This year it's I-10 from Santa Monica, CA to
Jacksonville, FL. That's goal one.

riding the Harley solo to all four corners of the country. That's
Then it's up the east coast to Atlantic City to meet US 30 and complete another to "box"
On the way back it's a meandering route to
touch the remaining states to complete rides through all 48 continental
Along the way there'll be side trips to the
Natchez Trace in Mississippi; the "Tail of the Dragon" on the North
Carolina/Tennessee border; Branson, MO, to meet Bill Mahnkey a Navy
shipmate; Topeka, KS, to hook up with another friend, Jon Janes; and
finally, US 34 out of Loveland, CO, the highest paved road in the USA.
