Where's Bill?
August 22, 2010

Starting point:
Thermopolis, WY
Ending point:
Billings, MT
Weather:
Warm and sunny all day.  Some wind over Beartooth Pass
Miles today:
260
Route:
SR-120, SR-296, US-212, I-90

Trip Notes:
My trip began when I decided Beartooth Highway was my next challenge on the Harley.

This is a special route in the annals of motorcycling.  Along with Tail of the Dragon, Blue Ridge Parkway and California Highway 1, this is one of the "must do" treks.  It didn't disappoint!

Dewey and I set out through rising hills toward Cody, WY, then along the Chief Joseph Trail and connected with the Beartooth.  After lunch from the saddlebags, we wound our way up over 10,000' and then back down through spectacular mountains and valleys to Red Lodge, MT.

There is a reason we ride, this was it!
